WE HOPE YOU HAVE A HAPPY EASTER BREAK
To all our patients, referrers and friends of the centre, we hope that you have a wonderful and safe long weekend.
Our team have been working very hard over the past few months and will be taking a much needed short rest over the long weekend to ensure we are rejuvenated to continue serving our community.
We will be closed over the long weekend, re-opening on Tuesday 23rd April. A couple of our psychologists are working by appointment only on Monday, so if you have an appointment booked please still come in, however our phones are diverted to our holiday message.
We look forward to seeing you again from Tuesday 23rd April. ... See MoreSee Less

CONGRATULATIONS DR AMY TALBOT- BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEAR
Last night The Talbot Centre team had the honour of attending The 2019 Local Business Awards at Castle Hills RSL.
It was such a great night of celebrating our achievements over the last year as a team and of celebrating all the fantastic businesses that we have in the Hills District.
We were very excited to be selected as a finalist in the category of Health Improvement Services and although we didn’t win this award, consider being selected as a finalist to be a great honour. Thank you to all our patients and members of the community who showed their support by voting for us this year. We provide our services to benefit you and are privileged to be able to work with you in the most difficult times in your lives (and also often the joyful ones).
Our Director, Dr Amy Talbot, was also a finalist in the category of Business Person of the Year and we are very proud to share that Amy was awarded this honour last night, being named the 2019 Business Person of the Year from amongst a large number of highly regarded local business owners. This award recognises Amy’s leadership and vision for The Talbot Centre and her dedication and commitment to the practice, as well as our clients and staff. Well done Amy! We are honoured and privileged to work with you in achieving the vision and mission of The Talbot Centre.
Check out some pictures of us enjoying our night below (as well as some pictures of Amy’s award).
Thank you to the awards organisers for a fantastic evening celebrating together. Stay tuned, we have asked Amy to share some thoughts on her win after Easter. ... See MoreSee Less

ARE YOU THE PARENT OF A TEENAGER?
This week is NSW Youth Week. In celebration of adolescence and the key areas of growth that we experience during our teen years, Dr Amy Talbot, has written her monthly article on parenting during these teen years.
A period of unique challenges for both teenagers and their parents.
A time for growth and development where parents have the opportunity to support young people to grow into the unique individuals they will become as adults and to develop the skills they will require to be effective and healthy as independent individuals.
Yet parenting young people brings with it a number of new trials and joys and with no how-to manual it can be difficult to work out how to survive with your relationship with your teen intact.”
