“I hope to create a space where everyone who shares their narrative can feel safe and supported to explore and shift the hardest part of what is happening for them. As I strongly align with authenticity, my aim is to facilitate a collaborative and authentic environment to ensure you can move toward your goals in a meaningful way.”
Jackie is a warm and compassionate psychologist who aims to work collaboratively with clients in different models of care. With a strong value for authenticity, Jackie aims to explore and understand what is happening for each client in lots of areas of life to ensure there is a collaborative treatment plan that is most suited to your needs.
Jackie has spent most of her professional career working with young people and those experiencing complex mental health concerns in different sectors including private and non-government organisations. Being a part of setting up a youth severe mental health service in Greater Western Sydney in 2019, Jackie’s interest in working with complex mental health challenges, including eating disorders has continued to expand.
Jackie currently provides clinical intervention for those experiencing eating disorders and other concerns, supporting families collaboratively to be autonomous in making change to propel them toward their recovery goals. Being passionate about creating a safe and non-judgemental space for clients, Jackie works to ensure clients understand their capability to explore and shift the hardest part of what is happening for them.
Having experience working with families through the lens of Maudsley Family Based Treatment for Eating Disorders (FBT), Jackie hopes to support and tailor treatment to each individual family, as all family systems are unique. Jackie has also engaged with training in Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT-E) and provides support to a wide range of different eating disorder presentations and age ranges.
As well as providing clinical intervention, Jackie also provides clinical supervision to those also supporting individuals and families as they navigate the complexities of an eating disorder, as well as oversight of the wonderful clinical team at The Talbot Centre.
