Welcome to the talbot centre

Jade Van der Hoek

Jade Van der Hoek

Triage Officer

Jade joined The Talbot Centre team in 2023, following several years working in hospitality. She is a passionate, aspiring psychology student currently completing her Bachelor of Psychology with Honours at Macquarie University.

As a member of the centre’s ‘Triage Team’, Jade is one of the first people you may speak to when reaching out to The Talbot Centre. Her role involves conducting individualised phone consultations to assure clients are supported and connected with a suitable clinician, allowing clients to build positive therapeutic relationships and achieve their personal goals.

Jade brings to her role an understanding of the barriers prospective clients may face and acknowledges the bravery and courage it takes to reach out and make the first step. Similarly, she emphasises the importance of providing a safe and empathetic environment, free from stigma or judgement in all she does within her role.

In her spare time, you will find Jade spending time outdoors with friends and family, either at the beach in Summer and the mountains in Winter, or scouting out new cafes to find a good coffee.

Jade is committed to making sure people from all walks of life are treated with compassion and care, and looks forward to supporting you on your health and wellbeing journey.
