Lauren joined The Talbot Centre in August 2020. Alongside her role within The Talbot Centre team, she is a keen aspiring dietitian and is set to graduate as an accredited practicing dietitian at the end of 2024 when she completes her Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Sydney.
Lauren values the learning environment our clinical and admin team create. Nurturing positive, empowered and client-centered relationships at all points of contact is at the core of what she enjoys about her role. She is deeply passionate about advocating for and supporting the client experience. You will find her at reception or working creatively behind the scenes to do so.
Lauren also has experience working with an advanced sports dietitian. This has fostered her appreciation for the role of nutrition as fuel for both sport and our everyday lives. In general, her philosophy is, food is fuel, but food is also so much more. Food is a vessel for joy, nostalgia, family, culture and social connection – just to name a few.
Her experience and studies in allied health have led to an appreciation that health is not a matter of ‘one size fits all’ and she is extremely grateful to work for a centre that adopts a holistic approach to wellbeing.
In her spare time, you will find Lauren playing AFL, seeking out new and exciting food experiences, reading and spending quality time with her family and friends – often at Gelato Messina.
Lauren looks forward to meeting you with a smile and is happy to assist you on your health and wellbeing journey in any way that she can.
