Senior Clinical Psychologist

Bio

“Sometimes, despite our best efforts, our burdens are too heavy to carry on our own. My aim is to provide you with a welcoming, relaxed and supportive environment where we can work together to equip you with the skills you need to create positive, lasting change.”

Michelle is a compassionate, respectful and warm clinical psychologist with over fifteen years’ experience working within the mental health field.

Michelle’s relaxed but focused approach to therapy enables her clients to feel genuinely supported as they develop skills to achieve their goals. She has experience working in university clinics, inpatient and outpatient hospital settings and in private practice with children, adolescents and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds. She has a special interest in working with people to overcome trauma and has extensive experience working with first responders and elite athletes.

Michelle works with clients across the lifespan including children, adolescents, adults, families and couples. Michelle is also a Christian and often works with clients who wish to see a psychologist with a shared faith and world view.

In addition to her clinical work, Michelle has a strong interest in the provision of clinical supervision. You can read more about her supervisory style and experience here.

Michelle provides oversight within The Talbot Centre of our supervision and training programs, both internally to support staff development, and externally to support workforce development and the professional and personal development of healthcare practitioners.
