Rebekah is a compassionate, friendly, and supportive psychologist who is passionate about working alongside children, adolescents, and their families. She is warm, empathetic and believes that all individuals have the capacity to achieve positive change.
Rebekah has worked in various settings including hospitals and private outpatient services. She has experience working with people of all ages with a variety of mental health challenges, providing both individual and group therapy as well as psychological assessments. She has previously held a behavioural support role where she assisted Autistic children, and their families navigate NDIS and mainstream school settings and supporting harmonious relationships at home.
She takes a creative and flexible approach to therapy and believes in tailoring treatment for children and adolescents in a way that helps them to make sense of their world. Rebekah enjoys working with young people who may be experiencing low self-esteem, bullying difficulties, communication or social challenges, anxiousness, low motivation, or those who may be struggling to make sense of and control their emotions.
Rebekah understands that children and young people need a space where they can feel heard, understood, and respected and a space that they feel safe and comfortable to learn and try new skills and strategies without fear.
Rebekah recognises that mental health struggles in children and adolescents can impact the whole family. She aims to work together with families to reduce conflict, increase positive communication, and strengthen relationships. She enjoys working with parents to help find practical solutions that suit their family’s needs and create long lasting positive change for them, their child, and the whole family.
As well as providing clinical intervention, Rebekah also has a particular interest in leadership and the wellbeing of fellow clinicians. She enjoys collaborating with others to achieve effective problem solving, promoting a positive work environment and recognises the value in helping others thrive in their roles, ultimately supporting their career goals.
Rebekah is a Christian and works with clients who wish to see a psychologist with a shared faith and worldview.
