Suchitra is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) with a passion for supporting people and understanding each of their stories about their relationship with food and their body. She has been practicing in a variety of setting over the last 15 years of her nutrition career.
Over the last 5 years she has developed a special interest in disordered eating, eating disorders and body image concerns. She is also passionate in helping her clients break the cycle of dieting through intuitive eating principles to find food freedom.
Suchitra approaches her work from a compassionate and holistic lens. She respects body diversity and understands that health looks different on everybody. She loves to empower her clients to live a healthful life, in a way that promotes autonomy and is true to their values. Suchitra values connection, trust and working respectfully, in the hope of holding a safer space for all her clients while they take their own journey to explore their relationship with food, body and health.
Suchitra is also interested in supporting parents, within the home environment, to facilitate recovery for their adolescent experiencing an eating disorder. She has completed training in Maudsley Family Based Therapy at The Children’s Hospital, Westmead. She continues to receive focused supervision support to ensure a high quality of care for her clients.
Suchitra is committed to ongoing supervision and professional development, she practices using various mind and body connection techniques, including intuitive eating principles, mindfulness-based practices and body image work.
